Mompreneur Manila founders, Janice Crisostomo-Villanueva and Elena Tuason-Verlee

Two passionate women. Two active mothers. Two serial mompreneurs are behind Mompreneur Manila.

Janice, active mom to three kids, isone of the most active parenting advocates and mom entrepreneurs in the Philippines. Her first business venture as a mompreneur was Mommy Matters Inc., a pioneering nursingwear brand in the country, and distributor of innovative mom and baby products which she set up together with her cousin.  She is also publisher of the ultimate directory for moms in the Philippines, Mommy Pages, as well as Urban Mom, a lifestyle mini-magazine distributed for free to moms all over the metro.  Last but not the least, Janice, together with her husband, runs a flourishing events management and publishing company, Creative Juice.

Janice has also successfully combined her advocacies for breastfeeding, active parenting and mompreneurship with her passion for well-planned events.  Together with friend and childbirth educator Rome Kanapi, she and her team have been staging successful, much-awaited events namely Expo Mom, Mommy Milkshake Marathon, Moms on the Floor, Expo Dad and Expo Kid.

Janice is also a former “real mom” columnists of H.I.P.P. Magazine, a publication by Sesame Seed Creatives, where she writes a column dedicated to mompreneurship.

Elena Tuason – Verlee is a mom entrepreneur with two young boys, based in both Manila and Vancouver, Canada. She has two PR companies – a full service agency working with some of the US and Canada’s top technology companies, as well as a do-it-yourself site for entrepreneurs wanting to learn easy PR and Social Media strategies that work.

Elena is a US-trained and certified professional coach, and is currently the resident Life Coach for Working Mom Magazine, with her monthly column “Connect the Dots”. Elena is an accidental entrepreneur who has stepped into, and sold a family business, as well as a quirky online business that she co-founded with her entrepreneur husband.
